The Conceptual Research over Low-Switching Modulation Strategy for Matrix Converters with the Coupled Reactors

In this paper, different Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) strategies for operating with a low-switching frequency, topology that combines Conventional Matrix Converters (CMCs), and Coupled Reactors (CRs) are presented discussed. The principles of the proposed first discussed by conceptual analysis later validated simulation. paper shows how combination CMCs CRs could be special interest sharing current among these converters’ modules, being possible to scale solution modular system. Therefore, use coupled reactors allows one implement phase shifters give ability generate stair-case load voltage desired power quality even matrix converters operated frequency close grid frequency. papers also address volume weight decrease growth fundamental output making especially appropriate high applications supplied at AC frequencies (for example, in airport terminals, where supply 400 Hz is required).
